Fort Detrick

Fort Detrick is an important site of the U.S. military in Frederick, Maryland. Among other things, at Fort Detrick, the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases ( USAMRIID ) and the National Interagency Confederation for Biological Research and the National Interagency Biodefense Campus is home to the future. From 1943 to 1969 Fort Detrick has been used for the development and testing of biological weapons. Later, we addressed according to official figures for defense research with dangerous pathogens. There are indications that the development and production of biological weapons was continued even after 1969.
