Fort Thunder

Fort Thunder was an abandoned warehouse on the first floor of a textile factory from the period before the American Civil War, located in Olneyville, a suburb of Providence, Rhode Iceland, in the United States. From 1995 to 2001 the premises were a meeting place for underground music events and cartoonist. Especially the colored advertising posters announcing these events anywhere in Providence, Fort Thunder made ​​known. It also frequently masked wrestling matches were ( Lightning Bolt and Mindflayer often occur with wrestling masks on ) organizes and Halloween mazes. Several artists lived and worked there, so the artists group itself is sometimes also referred to as " Fort Thunder".

2001, the building was pulled down in order to create space on the property for the parking of a Shaw 's Supermarket, which was, however, forced out of business in September 2007 due to low sales.
