The Fort Worth Convention Center (formerly Tarrant County Convention Center ), is a conference and event center in Fort Worth, Texas, which includes a 11,200 -seat multi-purpose arena.

Use

From 1992 to 1999, the arena home of the Fort Worth Fire from the Central Hockey League. With the Fort Worth Brahmas, which fought out their home games in the WPHL 1997-1999 also at the Fort Worth Convention Center, the establishment in the late 1990s, was another hockey franchise. In addition, in 1994 the Fort Worth Cavalry of the Arena Football League had their home in their only game year in the arena.

Already in the 1970s, the Dallas Chaparrals of the American Basketball Association had a season played at the Convention Center after the charge had decided to relocate the franchise due to lack of popularity, viewers of Dallas in the Texas province. In addition to Fort Worth, the team wore their home games as Texas Chaparrals of Lubbock in the 430 km distant. After only one season, however, the franchise returned to Dallas. From 2005 to 2007, the venue was also home of the Fort Worth Flyers of the NBA Development League. In 1992, the Convention Center, the venue for the Davis Cup final, in which the U.S. beat Switzerland.

In addition, the arena for concerts will be used. For example, the live DVD Cunning Stunts of the heavy metal band Metallica in 1997 was recorded at the Convention Center.
