Forza d'Agrò

Forza d'Agro is a village in the province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, with 879 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012).

Forza d'Agro is located 43 km south of Messina. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture.

The neighboring municipalities are Casalvecchio Siculo, Gallodoro, Letojanni, Limina, Mongiuffi Melia, Sant'Alessio Siculo Savoca and.

History

The church has existed since the Middle Ages.

Forza d'Agro served as a filming location for some scenes of the Mafia film The Godfather ( "The Godfather ," 1972) by Francis Ford Coppola with Al Pacino and Marlon Brando, as the actually intended for this purpose Corleone location was not suitable for filming. As early as 1961 Forza d'Agro was for the film with Jessica Angie Dickinson.
