Norwegian Championships

The FosenHallen is an ice rink in Bjugn, Sør -Trøndelag, Norway.

This 90 km from Trondheim away on the peninsula Fosen Bjugn location is the location of the FosenHallen. Construction began in 2006 and the hall was opened on 14 September 2007. It provides protection against wind and weather but can hold only one ambient temperature a few degrees higher than the outside of the hall. The cooling system of the ice rink is connected to the Fernwärmenetzt of Botngård. The waste heat is used among others for heating the surrounding public buildings. This, and the lack of heating the upkeep of the hall is very convenient.

The aligned for the multi-purpose hall asks next to the speed skating operating space for a 40x60 -meter artificial turf football field. Next there is a 30x60 meter ice rink and a curling rink in the interior, which is reached by a bridge.

The first major event was the Norwegian national all-around championship in 2008 from 15 to 16 December 2007. During the first day were as early as 1500 spectators in the hall. Bjugn has since been the venue of various Norwegian Championships. In 2009, the World Masters Championships here, the Masters round games instead. With 183 athletes from 14 countries, it was the largest event yet. In the 2011/12 season the Junior World Cup took station in Bjugn.
