Fotbal Fulnek

Fotbal Fulnek is a Czech football club based in the North Moravian Fulnek. The club increased since 2004 year on year and played from 2007 to 2009 in the 2nd Czech league.

Club history

The club was founded in 1947. In Czechoslovakia, the club was under the patronage of the local washing machine manufacturer ROMO, ROMO was accordingly TJ Fulnek and played no role in the nationwide football.

That changed in the early 21st century. ROMO washing machine builders went bankrupt and withdrew from the support of the Association. The entrepreneur Roman Mroček was patron and sponsor of the club, which now only called TJ Fulnek.

In the 2003 / 04 season, the team rose from the sechstklassigen 1 A třída, a year later, the team then celebrated promotion to the fourth-rate Divize. Also there was Fulnek champion and played 2006/ 07 in the MSFL, the third- highest Czech league.

Before the season, the football department from the general sports club TJ Fulnek was separated and an independent association founded with the name Fotbal Fulnek. The football field was a grandstand for 500 spectators and has been expanded so that it met the criteria for the second league.

With some former Erstligaspielern, including Radek Slončík, Michal Kovar and Jiří Kowalík, the team won the MSFL and climbed into the second league from which the team had to go back but at the end of the season 2008 /09. In the 2009/10 season Fulnek ran into financial difficulties and asked after the first round of the match operation a. All results of the association were canceled.
