The Foundation for Environmental Education (English Foundation for environmental education, short FEE) is a non-governmental organization, founded in 1981, whose aim is to sustainably strengthen environmental protection through environmental education.
The FEE is active internationally and acts as an umbrella organization, each supporting a member organization in each member country. The national organizations set by the programs of FEE and are supported by the umbrella organization. The FEE is active in 41 countries in Europe, North and South America, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
Programs of Fee
Blue Flag ( Blue Flag)
The Blue Flag is a label which is awarded annually to beaches and harbors. It will be at the ceremony, inter alia, criteria such as water quality, environmental management, handles security.
Eco - school ( Eco-Schools )
The award eco - school ( Eco - School) get schools that meet specific requirements for environmental education and environmental behavior.
Young Reporters for the Environment (Young Reporters for the Environment )
The program is aimed at schools.
Learning in the forest ( Learning About Forests)
The program aims to help teachers, enhanced for teaching purposes to use forests. The students will be brought home by the direct contact with the nature of the concept of environmental protection.
The Green Key (Green Key )
The Green Key is a certification program and eco-label for tourism businesses such as hotels and campsites. It is a set of core criteria which are country-specific and filled adjusted. These include criteria inter alia in the fields of environmental management, water and energy, waste management or offers to nature activities. The eco-label is replaced by a country-specific name, for example, English or French The Green Key Green Key. Since May 2012 is also available in Germany certified companies.
