Four Arts
The Four Arts of the Scholar (Chinese:四 艺; Pinyin: siyi ) in traditional China were to play the zither, the game of Go, calligraphy and painting.

The four arts are often represented by famous persons who distinguished themselves in the relevant art in particular:
- Chinese Music (琴qin, Qin ): Yu Poya
- Weiqi ( Chinese strategy game in the West rather under the Japanese name "Go" known) (棋, qí ): Zhao Yan
- Chinese calligraphy (书, Shuu ): Wang Xizhi, the famous calligrapher of Chinese history
- Chinese Painting (画, huà ): Wang Wei, a poet of the Tang Dynasty
