Four Broncos Memorial Trophy

The Four Broncos Memorial Trophy is awarded by the Western Hockey League. It has been awarded since the end of the 1994/95 season annually to the best player of the year. Until the 1993/94 season he was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the WHL. The trophy winners since 1975 also takes part in the election of the CHL Player of the Year.

The award takes its name four players of the Swift Current Broncos who died in a bus accident on the way to the game against the Regina Pats lost their lives. Trent Kresse, Scott Kruger, Chris Mantyka and Brent Ruff died on December 30, 1986.
