Four Jacks and a Jill was a South African pop band.

Band History

The four members of the band founded in her native South Africa 1964 Group Nevada, but were relatively unsuccessful. After Image, hairstyle and name change she had more success than zombies. With the singer Glenys Lynne they named their band Four Jacks & a Jill, who was an international success in 1968.

Their increasing popularity helped them to a record deal. With the title Timothy they had in 1967 a first hit in their homeland. It was followed by the song Master Jack. This title was not only a success in South Africa, the band made ​​it so that even in the U.S. charts at number 3 on the easy listening charts and in the Top 20 in the official charts.

The follow-up single Mister Nico and the album Master Jack were minor successes in the United States. In their homeland, the Four Jacks & a Jill remained popular.
