Fowler, California

Fowler ( formerly Fowler 's Switch ) is a city in Fresno County, California, United States. In 2010 there were 5,570 registered inhabitants. The city is located in the San Joaquin Valley.

Location

The location is situated 18 kilometers southwest of Fresno, at an altitude of 94 meters.

History

The first post office at this location opened in 1882. On 15 June 1908, the town was officially founded. It is named after Senator Thomas Fowler. Current mayor is David Cardenas.
