Fox Searchlight Pictures is a film studio in the Fox Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of 20th Century Fox. The studio, founded in 1994, specializing particularly in British and independent films. Furthermore, so-called Dramedies and horror films produced with a relatively low budget.
Popular movies from Fox Searchlight are, inter alia, Black Swan, Juno, 28 Days Later, (500 ) Days of Summer and Slumdog Millionaire. The latter brought the studio for the first time an Oscar for best film.
