Framestore

Framestore CFC (including Framestore) is a British 1986 gründetes company for special effects in movies, commercials and music videos. 1997 has been merged with CFC (Computer Film Company ). The head office is in London.

History

Framestore was founded in 1986 by Sharon Reed, William Sargent, Jonathan Hills, Mike McGee and Alison Turner. It worked for the first time with computers to create special effects. People began to effects for music videos and TV movies to work out. Framestore won first prizes. 1994, a special effects department was founded.

Merger with CFC

Framestore was in 1997 with the Computer Film Company, one of the first special effects, merged. CFC was founded in 1984 by Mike Boudry, Wolfgang Lempp and Neil Harris. Together, the companies have worked on over 200 films.

Prices and Earnings

Framestore CFC and have already won several awards. CFC has already won two times the Scientific and Technical Academy Award. 2008 Framestore won the first Oscar for Best Visual Effects in the movie The Golden Compass, as well as the BAFTA Award. Next Oscar nominations for Superman Returns (2007) and The Dark Knight ( 2009).

Framestore was the first company in Europe used the Digital Intermediate.
