Framura

Framura ( Framùa Ligurian ) is a Ligurian village with 677 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of La Spezia in Italy.

Geography

The small community Framura on the Ligurian Coast is located in one of the typical and craggy coves of the Ligurian Riviera di Levante (Coast of the Rising Sun ). The mountain Serro (421 m) is presented as the highest point of the municipality Framura and is part of the Cinque Terre. Framura is part of the Community Comunità Montana della Riviera Spezzina.

History

The presence of the Ligurian people in this area can be witnessed by archaeological findings.

With its characteristic structure of the various, scattered along the territory localities ( Anzo, Ravecca, Setta, Costa and Castagnola ), Framura still has an echo of its pre-Roman origin of the Ligurian inhabitants. These inhabited from Liguria Tyrrhenian Sea to the Po.
