Francesco Bolzoni

Francesco Bolzoni ( born May 7, 1989 in Lodi ) is an Italian footballer who is since the summer of 2013 in Palermo in the Italian Serie B under contract. He plays the position of defensive midfielder.

Career

In the club

Francesco Bolzoni began his career with San Colombano al Lambro, Inter Milan before he joined youth academy. He has in every youth academy, from the Esordienti (U -13 ) to the Inter Primavera (U -20) played. During the 2006/07 season he was part of the victorious Inter Milan Primavera, who won the Italian championship.

His debut for the first team was Inter's Bolzoni on 1 February 2007 in the Coppa Italia, when he played 26 minutes against UC Sampdoria. On 19 September 2007 he was selected for the first time for the Champions League squad against Fenerbahce, but not used. In the next game but he was used, specifically, as a substitute for Santiago Solari in the 70th minute against PSV Eindhoven. On December 12, 2007 was the midfielder for the first time in the starting eleven, again against PSV Eindhoven and played the full 90 minutes. Francesco Bolzoni extended in July 2008, his contract with Inter Milan until 30 June 2012. The game ended in a 1-0 win for Inter Milan. On 24 May 2009 Bolzoni first played in Serie A, the highest Italian league, against Cagliari Calcio.

Shortly thereafter, he was released as part of the transfer of assets between Inter Milan and Genoa, in which Thiago Motta joined the " Nerazzurri ", delivered along with Leonardo Bonucci and Riccardo Meggiorini to Genoa. On 17 August 2009 Bolzoni was to have graduated without a competitive match for Genoa, awarded by the end of the season second division Frosinone Calcio. In the course of the season, he secured a permanent place in the team under head coach Francesco Moriero.

Also under his successor, Guido Carboni, who took over the post of head coach at Frosinone on April 26, 2010, the midfielder secured a regular place.

At the end of the loan period was followed in July 2010, again a change on loan, when Bolzoni joined to the end of season 2010/11 AC Siena. With Siena he was promoted to the Serie A.

In the National Team

On November 21, 2007, he completed his debut for the Italian U- 21 team against the Faroe Islands. Previously Bolzoni was in the Italian U -17, U -18 and U-20 selection active.
