Francesco Coco

Francesco Coco ( born January 8, 1977 in Paternò ) is a retired Italian footballer.

Association

He began his career in 1993 at AC Milan, where he was loaned to 2002 a total of three times: at Vicenza Calcio Torino FC and FC Barcelona. He then moved in exchange for Clarence Seedorf to Inter Milan. They sat in Coco high hopes but which he could not fulfill due to many injuries, so he could in five years only 26 games for Inter deny. 2005/ 06 he moved on loan to Livorno, where he indeed played regularly but unremarkable. In summer 2006, he sought unsuccessfully for a club, so he had to stay against his will at Inter. In January 2007, he played a trial at Manchester City, which, however, did not take him under contract. Then borrowed from Coco FC Turin, where, however, he came only three brief appearances. In September 2007, Coco broke the contract with Inter Milan, originally wanted to Coco because of permanent back pain, thereby terminating his career, but negotiated in December 2007, allegedly with the Queens Park Rangers and FC Red Bull Salzburg on a commitment.

National

Francesco Coco played for Italy's U -21 at the U- 21 Championship 2000 in Slovakia, where his team under coach Marco Tardelli could win the title. For the Italian national football team he made his debut on 7 October 2000 against Romania. Overall, Coco played between 2000 and 2002 17 games without scoring a goal. Coco was also in the Italian squad for the 2002 World Cup, where he played two games.
