Francesco IV Gonzaga, Duke of Mantua

Francesco IV Gonzaga ( born May 7, 1586 Mantua, † December 22, 1612 ibid ) was Duke of Mantua.

He was the eldest son of Duke Vincenzo I Gonzaga of Mantua and Montferrat and his successor when his father died on February 18, 1612. Ten months later, Francesco also died. Since he left no male heir, the title passed to his brother, the Cardinal Ferdinando Gonzaga, who had to resign to continue the family inventory from the church service.

He married on 19 February 1608 Turin Margaret of Savoy (* April 28, 1589, † June 26, 1655 ), daughter of Duke Carlo Emanuele I, with whom he had three children:
