Francesco Molinari

Francesco Molinari ( born November 8, 1982 in Turin ) is an Italian professional golfer on the European Tour.

He comes from a golf-loving family (brother of Edoardo ) and began at the age of eight years with parents and grandparents in the Circolo Golf Torino with golf. During his amateur career Molinari won, among others, in the years 2002 and 2004, the Italian Championships in stroke play, as well as those in the 2004 Match Play.

He was professional golfers in the fall of 2004 and qualified on the Tour School immediately for the European Tour for the 2005 season, was able to hold easily into the Molinari. In May 2006 he became the first Italian since Massimo Mannelli (1980 ), the Telecom Italia Open and finished at the end of the season ranked 38th in the European Tour Order of Merit.

His older brother Edoardo won the 2005 United States Amateur Championship. In November 2009, the brothers won for the first time in Italy the World Cup.
