Francesco Venturini

Francesco Venturini (* 1675, † April 18, 1745 in Hannover) was a violinist and composer.

In 1698 he was violinist in the electoral chapel in Hanover, where he had married in the previous year. About the time before, especially about its origin is not known. Whether he - which from his name to close would be - comes from Italy, is not certain, leave some evidence suggests that it originated from present-day Belgium, he gave his sons in the baptismal register the nickname " Bruxellensis ". He was probably a pupil of his coming from France predecessor Jean- Baptiste Farinel ( 1655-1726 ). He advanced in Hanover in 1714, a court orchestra and held this post until his death. Even his sons, and ( presumably) a grandson were in the following years in and around Hanover musically active.

He was in his time a renowned composer and created chamber music concerts and other works in which he formally followed essentially the suite form. His concertos were op.1 1715, which allows on his former importance conclusions, printed by Estienne Roger in Amsterdam.
