Francesco Vinea

Francesco Vinea ( born August 10 1845 in Forli, † 22 October 1902 in Florence) was an Italian painter.

Life

Vinea formed on the Academy in Florence for a genre painter and lived there as a professor. He painted mostly genre scenes with figures in costumes of the 17th and 18th century in the style of Fortuny, which are distinguished as much by shiny, colorful, gem -like brilliant coloration as by liveliness of presentation, sharpness of the characteristics and cheeky humor. Occasionally, he also painted single figures from the modern life of the people with witty, schummerigem color.
