Francesco Zantedeschi

Francesco Zantedeschi ( born August 18, 1797 in Dolcè (Verona ), † March 29, 1873 ) was Italian priest and physicist.

Zantedeschi published in the years 1829 and 1830 assumptions about the production of a voltage in a closed circuit runs through the movement of magnets. He took part in the experiments of Michael Faraday in 1831. In 1849 he was elected to the Leopoldina, 1852 he was appointed a corresponding member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences.

In his research on the solar system Zantedeschi recognized as one of the first that the earth's atmosphere the proportion of red, yellow and green light filters noticeably. It is believed that he had also come to the knowledge of the relationship between light and magnetism, long before the theory of Maxwell in 1867.
