Francis Anthony, Count of Hohenzollern-Haigerloch

Franz Anton of Hohenzollern- Haigerloch (* December 2, 1657 at Schloss Sigmaringen, † October 14, 1702 in Friedlingen ) was reigning Count of Hohenzollern- Haigerloch.

Life

Franz Anton was the youngest son of Prince Meinrad I of Hohenzollern -Sigmaringen (1605-1681) from his marriage to Anna Marie (1613-1682), daughter of Ferdinand Freiherr von Törring to Seefeld.

In imperial service Franz Anton reached the rank of field marshal lieutenant. As a result of the provisions of the survey instrument of the family in the imperial princes, he could only govern as Count of Hohenzollern- Haigerloch. When re- Tung For the Swabian Hohenzollern in 1692 by Emperor Leopold I, the line Haigerloch was excluded.

Franz Anton fell in the War of Spanish Succession at the Battle of Friedlingen.

Franz Anton married on February 5, 1687 Anna Maria Eusebia ( 1670-1716 ), daughter of Count Anton Eusebius of Koenigsegg - Aulendorf, with whom he had the following children:
