Francis Banecki

Banecki Francis (born 17 July 1985 in Berlin ) is a German football player.

Career

In his youth, Francis Banecki played at the Reinickendorfer foxes, Hertha BSC and Tennis Borussia Berlin and joined the 2003/04 season in the youth team of Werder Bremen. A year later he was promoted to the amateur team of Bremen. In the pros debuted on October 20, 2004 in Champions League group stage match against RSC Anderlecht.

Due to many good performances Banecki received a year later a professional contract in the team of Thomas Schaaf. He also took part in the U -20 World Championship in 2005 in the Netherlands for the U-20 national team. In the course of this tournament Banecki met, inter alia, on opponents such as Lionel Messi.

After the 2005/ 06 season, his contract was extended until 2008; for the 2006/07 season but he was loaned to second division Eintracht Braunschweig. Banecki was there only nine games contest. A knee injury put him out of action the entire second half. After his return from Braunschweig Banecki belonged to at Werder the squad of the second team. Francis Banecki was born the son of a German father and a Cameroonian mother in Berlin. His two fraternal twin sisters, Nicole and Sylvie, also play football. Sylvie for Bayern Munich, Nicole, who also played for Bayern Munich, for the FCR Duisburg; both for Bundesliga clubs. Nicole already has six caps for the senior national team.
