Francis Marion University
Francis Marion University ( FMU ) is an American University in South Carolina near the city of Florence.
The university is named after the war hero Francis Marion, was established in 1957. First, only served as a freshman center of the University of South Carolina, until it became a full-fledged college in 1970.
Currently there are about 4000 students, of whom 93 per cent were born in South Carolina at the FMU.
