Francis Muthaura

Francis Kirimi Muthaura ( born October 20, 1946 in Meru ) is a Kenyan civil servant and politician. He is head of the civil service and a close friend and advisor to President Mwai Kibaki.

Muthaura graduated in 1972, the University of Nairobi in art, economics and political science. After that, he was a year of Mombasa District Commissioner, Deputy Foreign Minister and later head of Kenya's civil service.

On 15 December 2010 Francis Kirimi Muthaura was a summons to the International Criminal Court (ICC) by the chief prosecutor, Luis Moreno Ocampo, passed on. If the application should be granted, he would have to answer to the court for crimes against humanity 2007/2008 in connection with the unrest in Kenya. He described the allegations as " nonsense ", " unfair" and " unjustified".
