Francis Nelson (ice hockey)

Francis Augustus Nelson Jr. ( born January 24, 1910 in New York City, New York, † March 9, 1973 in Upper Montclair, New Jersey ) was an American professional ice hockey player.

Career

Francis Nelson attended Yale University. During his studies from 1927 to 1931 he performed there along with four years of ice hockey regularly soccer and baseball. He was also a member of the rowing team at Yale University. Immediately following his graduation, he got into the insurance business, where he worked until his death, although he did his job for participating in the Winter Games in 1932 interrupted.

Internationally

For the U.S., Nelson took part in the 1932 Olympics in part in Lake Placid, where he won the silver medal with his team. He scored in the tournament in five games a goal.
