Francis Veber

Francis Veber ( born July 28, 1937 in Neuilly -sur -Seine ) is a French journalist, screenwriter, film director and producer of Armenian origin.

Life

As a screenwriter, Veber was successful with films like the crab louse or The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe already in the 1970s.

His first film The Toy with Pierre Richard was an immediate success. One of his major international successes was Daddy Cool - My Father the Hero with Gerard Depardieu in 1994.

As a screenwriter, he also had no problems with it, also provide the templates for U.S. versions of his hit films or even to go as a director to work. Both the toy implemented ( with Richard Pryor ) and the The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe ( with the then relatively unknown Pierre Richard ) were in this way. The Bank Trio was a great commercial success.
