Francisco de Borja

Francisco de Borja (* 1441 in Xativa, † November 4, 1511 in Reggio Emilia ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

The relatives of Pope Alexander VI. was born on August 19, 1495 Bishop of Teano and on November 6, 1499 Archbishop of Cosenza. Raised by his uncle on 28 September 1500 pectore cardinal, the Pope published his name on 2 October the same year, and awarded him on October 5 as a cardinal priest, the titular church of S. Cecilia. On August 11, 1506, he moved to the titular church of Ss. Nereo ed Achilleo. From 1503 to 1504 Camerlengo of the Sacred College, he resigned on June 5, 1508, the diocese Teano and on October 24, 1511 on his cardinalate.
