Francisco Maldonado da Silva

Francisco Maldonado da Silva (* 1592 in San Miguel de Tucumán, † 1639 in Lima) was a Peruvian physician marranischer origin, as an adult learned of his Jewish ancestry and immediately entered for the return of the Peruvian Marranos to Judaism. Brought before the Inquisition of his Christian sister, he was burned as a martyr in Lima.
