Franck Langolff

Franck Langolff, actually Henri -Alain Langolff (* 1948 in Fez, Morocco, † September 8, 2006 in Rouen ) was a French musician who plays for a number of well-known French artist wrote, including Sophie Marceau, Florent Pagny, Vanessa Paradis, Renaud, Johnny Hallyday, Alain Souchon, Patricia Kaas, Yannick Noah and Sylvie Vartan.

His biggest international success was Joe le taxi, which he wrote in 1987 for Vanessa Paradis. Joe le taxi stand 1987 in France eleven weeks at the top of the singles charts, was number one in Belgium, Germany came in at No. 8 and in the UK - then unusual for a French-language song - in 3rd place

Further, very well known in France titles are Morgane de toi ( 1983 Renaud ) and SOS Éthiopie ( 1985 Renaud for Chanteurs sans frontières )

Langolff was a close friend and musician settled by Renaud. At the age of 58 years he died of lung cancer.
