Franck Perera

Franck Perera ( born March 21, 1984 in Montpellier ) is a French racing driver.

1995 Perera started his career in karting. After he took part in the Italian Formula Renault Winter Series in 2001, he started in 2002 in the Italian Formula Renault. In this series, he reached the Eighth place overall and also took part in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. In 2003, the Frenchman secured the championship title of the Italian Formula Renault. In addition, Perera was in Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and was active in several races of the German Formula Renault at the start. 2004 moved Perera for Prema Powerteam in the Formula 3 Euro Series and finished eighth in the overall standings. Also in the next season Perera was for Prema Powerteam in the Formula 3 Euro Series active and finished fourth in the overall standings. Then moved Perera 2006 DAMS in the GP2 Series. At the end of the season, he finished 16th in the overall standings. His best result was second place in Monaco. In addition, Perera went for Interwetten Racing in two races of the World Series by Renault at the start.

2007 moved to America and became Perera with Condor Motorsports runner-up in the Champ Car Formula Atlantic. For 2008, Perera signed with Conquest Racing and should start in the Champ Car World Series, but due to the merger of Champ Car World Series with the IndyCar Series began the Frenchman only in some races in the Indy Car Series. In the rest of the season Perera was half a season in the Indy Lights active and was 17th in the overall standings.

Halfway through the 2009 season Perera moved back to the GP2 Series for David Price Racing and finished after eight race weekends brought no points to have the 28th overall. For the ninth race weekend he was replaced by Johnny Cecotto jr.
