Franco-Ontarian flag

The flag of the Franco- Ontarian is the flag of the French-speaking minority in the Canadian province of Ontario, the Franco- Ontarian.

It consists of a green and white field. On the left half of the green, a white fleur -de- lys is depicted on the right half white with a stylized green trillium. The green symbolizes the summer months, the white in the winter months. The flag was designed by a group of students of the University of Sudbury. On September 25, 1975, she was hoisted for the first time on the local university campus. The Legislative Assembly of Ontario gave the flag on 29 June 2001 the status as the official symbol of Franco- Ontarians.
