Franco Saudelli

Franco Saudelli (* August 4, 1952 in Latina, Italy ) is an Italian comic book artist and author. He became known especially through the bondage scenes depicted in his comics.

Life and work

With the drawing of comics Saudelli began in the early 1970s. Since the end of the decade he published numerous articles in French-and Italian -language magazines such as Lanciostory, Orient- Express, Libération and Charlie Mensuel. His most famous character, the insane thief La Bionda, Saudelli created in the 1980s. An adventure of it also appeared in German in the magazine Heavy Metal. Other Comics Saudellis, which is also published in German, is one of the detective series Porphyrius, the two albums in 2001 under the title Otto B. Pöschl have appeared. In both comic series, the bondage of the female performer plays a major role.

Saudelli was honored in 1986 at the Comics Festival Salone Internazionale dei Comics in Lucca with the Yellow Kid.
