François Ngeze

François Ngeze (*? Into? ) Was on October 21, 1993 to October 27, 1993 President of Burundi.

He was from the military Committee of Public Salvation, a group of officers who overthrew the democratically elected government of President Melchior Ndadaye used. Ndadaye was killed during the coup.

Ngeze, which belongs to the ethnos of the Hutu, was a member of the Union for National Progress. He was Minister of the Interior in the government of Pierre Buyoya, who then defeated in the election on June 1 against Ndadaye.

After the extensive rejection of the coup, the committee was dissolved on 27 October. Sylvie Kinigi, who was prime minister during the government Ndadaye, then took over the office of President.
