Franconian Museum Railway

The Franconian Museum Railway Association ( FME) is an association whose aim is to preserve and use historic vehicles operational.

Since 1996 he has been admitted as a railway company. With its own locomotives he also operates regular services in addition to museum trips in southern Germany and the neighboring countries. The FME was founded in 1985 in Nuremberg. To target sat down to keep the memory of the steam era in this industrial city alive. Until then there was no such institution except the Nuremberg Transport Museum.
