Frank Charles Wachter

Frank Charles Wachter ( born September 16, 1861 in Baltimore, Maryland, † July 1, 1910 ) was an American politician. Between 1899 and 1907 he represented the state of Maryland in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Frank Wachter attended private schools and the St. Paul's Evangelical School in Baltimore. He then worked as Kleiderzuschneider. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. In the years 1896-1898 he was a member of the Prison Committee of Baltimore. In the congressional elections of 1898 he was in the third electoral district of Maryland in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of William Samuel Booze on March 4, 1899. After three re- elections, he was able to complete in Congress until March 3, 1907 four legislative sessions. In 1906 he gave up another candidacy.

After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives Frank Wachter took his previous jobs in the garment industry again. Since 1909 he was also a member of the Control Board for state prisons of Maryland. He died on July 1, 1910 in Baltimore, where he was also buried.
