Frank Corcoran

Frank Corcoran, origin. Francis Borgia Corcoran ( born 1944 in Tipperary ) is an Irish composer.

He studied composition in Dublin, Rome and Berlin. Since 1983 he is professor of composition and music theory teaching in Hamburg.

His compositions include chamber music, vocal music, tape pieces and four symphonies. For his composition Joyce Peak Music, he was awarded the competition Acustica International des WDR for short radio plays. He is a member of Aosdána.
