Frank Dittrich

Frank Dittrich ( born December 23, 1967 in Leipzig ) is a former German speed skater.

He took from 1992 to 2002 at four Olympic Winter Games in part. His best results were a fourth place over 5,000 meters in 1992 in Albertville, a sixth and eighth place in the 10,000 and 5,000 in 1994 in Lillehammer ( Vikingskipet ) and a fifth and sixth place over 5000 and 10,000 in Nagano in 1998.

At World Championships Dittrich was successful and was able to win over 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters 5 individual medals. He also won the bronze medal at the 1997 World Championships all-around. Overall, he won 15 medals at World Championships.

In 2002 he won a World Cup in The Hague over 10,000 and in 1999 and 2000, third in the overall World Cup on the long haul. At the European Championships in 2000 and 2002 he won the 10,000 m. He was 13 times German champion and provided a total of 19 German records.

Since 2004, Frank Dittrich worked at Deutsche Bank AG (DKB ) in sports marketing and since 2006 has been marketing manager of the German speed skating community. In 2010 he was for Euro Sports as a co- commentator at the Olympic speed skating competitions in Vancouver at the microphone here.
