Frank Fahrenhorst

Frank Fahrenhorst (* September 24, 1977 in Kamen ) is a former German football player and current coach.

Career

Clubs

Prior to his professional career playing for clubs hammer Fahrenhorst SpVg, SpVg Bonen and VfK Nordbögge.

The defender played from 1996 to 2004 in the first and second Bundesliga for VfL Bochum. He then moved to Werder Bremen. From August 2006 until the summer of 2009 he was in the squad of Hannover 96 and received for his move half a million euros in compensation from Werder Bremen. In exchange for driving Horst moved Per Mertesacker off the leash to the Weser.

For the season 2009/10 Frank Fahrenhorst went back to the Ruhr area and changed free transfer to MSV Duisburg, where he has signed a contract until 2011. There he met his old mentor, Peter Neururer under which he already briefly at his previous club Hannover played at VfL Bochum and 96.

Frank Fahrenhorst graduated in 2004 under Jürgen Klinsmann two caps for the German national football team. He made his debut on 18 August 2004 in a 3-1 success against Austria in Vienna.

Coaching career

Fahrenhorst has the A- license coach and since July 1, 2012 Co - Coach of Bernhard Trares at FC Schalke 04 II On January 18, 2013 he also took over as head coach of the B- youth. For the 2013/14 season Christian Wörns takes over the position as head coach of the U-17 team and driving Horst will coach the U-16 team.
