Frank Finlay

Frank Finlay ( born August 6, 1926 in Farnworth, Lancashire, England ) is a British actor.

Life and achievements

Finlay has English, Irish and Scottish ancestors. He graduated from London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the first television roles he played at the beginning of the 1960s. For the role of Iago in Othello Drama ( 1965) ( after the Shakespeare play of the same name ) Finlay in 1966 nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe.

In the adventure film The Three Musketeers (1973 ) by Richard Lester, he starred opposite Oliver Reed, Raquel Welch, Richard Chamberlain and Michael York in the role of Porthos. He took over The same role in the sequel The four scoundrels of the queen from the year 1974.
