Frank Geideck

Frank Geideck ( born April 2, 1967 in Bielefeld ) is a German football coach and former football player.

Career

The defender Frank Geideck began playing football in 1972 and later moved to Arminia Bielefeld Bielefeld unterklassigen football club VfR Wellensiek. For the season 1988 /89 Oberliga Westfalen Geideck returned to DSC Arminia back and remained there until his career end of 1996. During this time he played a total of 157 games in the jersey of Arminia and scored 10 hits.

After Geideck in the 1995/96 season with the Arminia could achieve promotion to the Bundesliga, qualified sports teacher ended his footballing career and was the following season 1996/97 assistant coach alongside Ernst Middendorp, after a year as of this Official Players Coaches had exercised.

After the then coach Uwe Rapolder had announced his move to the first FC Cologne already in the season 2004/ 05, this was released early on 11 May 2005 and assistant coach Geideck took over for the last two days of the season the post of head coach. He was replaced by the previous sports director Thomas von Heesen and Geideck again took over the position of assistant coach.

Geideck was the least of Februar and March 2007, head coach of Arminia after Thomas von Heesen following the 0-1 defeat in Munich announced his resignation as coach of Bielefeld. As of March 14, 2007 Geideck was an assistant coach again, as Ernst Middendorp new head coach was.

For the season 2009/10 he follows the dismissed at Arminia Bielefeld coach Michael Frontzeck as an assistant coach for Borussia Mönchengladbach. After the exemption Frontzecks in spring 2011 Geideck remained under new coach Lucien Favre assistant coach.
