Frank Goosen

Frank Goosen ( born May 31, 1966 in Bochum) is a cabaret artist and novelist.

Career

After graduating from high school at the east ring in 1986, he studied history, German language and politics to 1992 at the Ruhr- University Bochum.

From 1992 to 2000, he joined together with Jochen Malmsheimer as a duo Tresenlesen with great success, especially in North Rhine -Westphalia on. The duo was the winner of the Audience Award Applauded & booed at the Prix Pantheon 1997, the Salzburg Bull 1998. Differences after it came to the resolution of the counter readers.

Since then, Goosen has been a successful novelist and solo cabaret artist. His subjects are mainly the sensibilities of his generation, the top - forty-somethings, but also the Ruhr area, its people and peculiarities as well as the theme of football. The novels are also available as audiobooks. His novel Learning to Lie was filmed in 2003.

Goosen had been the Director of the sponsoring organization of the Prince Regent Theatre.

In addition, he published since 2007 humorous columns and essays, including the kicker sports magazine and newspaper in the stadium of VfL Bochum, which appears for every home game. In October 2010, the author was elected by a large majority in the Supervisory Board of VfL Bochum. As vice chairman of the association since he directs with the fortunes of his club.

Goosen lives with his wife and two sons in Bochum.
