Frank Hartmann ( born August 17, 1960 in Hannover ) is a former German football player.

Career

Emerged from the youth of the TSV Havelse, Hartmann received a license 96 player contract for the 2nd Bundesliga Nord near Hanover. His professional debut was - curiously enough - against Hanover: On August 29, 1980, came " 96 " in the first round of the DFB Cup to an unchallenged 8-1 win at home to Borussia Hannover. After four seasons, he moved to the 1985/86 season for the Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, for which he used his first - also, curiously enough - only in the European Cup champions got on October 2, 1985 against Gornik Zabrze. The game ended 4-1 gates in Munich and Hartmann scoring the intermediate 2:1. On October 8, 1985 ( 4th Round ), he made his Bundesliga debut - of all things - against his "old" club; the 6-0 home win against Hannover 96, he scored the 3-0. Two years at Bayern Munich earned him his greatest sporting successes: In the first season he had in 19 games with four goals in the winning of the Championship and was in the DFB Cup final on May 3, 1986 against VfB Stuttgart in the 84. minute substitute for the three -goal Roland Wohlfarth. Together with Karsten Surmann, Martin Giesel and Bastian Hellberg, with whom he had in 1985 96 managed under Biskup the rise with Hannover in the Bundesliga first, he tried to bring VfL Osnabrück in the 2nd Bundesliga back.
