Frank Hartmann (footballer born August 1960)

Frank Hartmann ( born August 17, 1960 in Hannover ) is a former German football player.

Career

Emerged from the youth of the TSV Havelse, Hartmann received a license 96 player contract for the 2nd Bundesliga Nord near Hanover. His professional debut was - curiously enough - against Hanover: On August 29, 1980, came " 96 " in the first round of the DFB Cup to an unchallenged 8-1 win at home to Borussia Hannover. His second league debut - also curious - he gave on September 30 (11th Round ) in a 2-0 win in the away game against the OSV Hannover. His first goal in the professional sector meant on 12 November (12th Round ) the 3-1 final score in the home game against Holstein Kiel; the goal he scored in the 85th minute - two minutes after coming off the bench for Karsten Surmann.

After four seasons, he moved to the 1985/86 season for the Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, for which he used his first - also, curiously enough - only in the European Cup champions got on October 2, 1985 against Gornik Zabrze. The game ended 4-1 gates in Munich and Hartmann scoring the intermediate 2:1. On October 8, 1985 ( 4th Round ), he made his Bundesliga debut - of all things - against his "old" club; the 6-0 home win against Hannover 96, he scored the 3-0. Two years at Bayern Munich earned him his greatest sporting successes: In the first season he had in 19 games with four goals in the winning of the Championship and was in the DFB Cup final on May 3, 1986 against VfB Stuttgart in the 84. minute substitute for the three -goal Roland Wohlfarth. So also on August 16, 1986 ( 2nd Round ), when he was in the 66th minute for this, in the Away encounter at Fortuna Dusseldorf, which won the Bayern 3-0 off the bench. The 24 -minute operation was his last for the Munich because he returned - for lack of assertiveness - back to Hanover. With six goals in 24 games, he contributed to the rise of 96, for the twelve missions he met again the following season.

One suffered during the 1987/88 season cruciate ligament led to the end of his professional career. Hartmann played 32 Bundesliga games and scored five goals and 158 second-division games in which he scored 4 goals.

After that, he was active for several years only in celebrity teams and for niederklassige amateur clubs. At the same time he built together with Karsten Surmann the Soccer & Racquet Park Ltd., a hall for football, tennis, squash and badminton, on of which he still is today.

Coach Werner Biskup persuaded Frank Hartmann in 1994 to return to the higher-class football. Together with Karsten Surmann, Martin Giesel and Bastian Hellberg, with whom he had in 1985 96 managed under Biskup the rise with Hannover in the Bundesliga first, he tried to bring VfL Osnabrück in the 2nd Bundesliga back. While his return was achieved with 32 games and 12 goals, VfL missed the rise in short supply.

He then completed two seasons in the Lower League to the Turkish SV Damla Genç and then returned to his former youth club TSV Havelse back as player-coach. In July 2000 he gave up the post after quarrels with the main sponsor.
