Frank Hoffmann (actor)

Frank Hoffmann ( * July 16, 1938 in Radebeul ) is a German - Austrian actor.

Life and work

Hoffmann attended the Otto -Falkenberg School in Munich.

After various engagements in Germany and Austria, he became in 1967 an ensemble member of the Burgtheater in Vienna.

From 1975-1994 designed and hosted Hoffmann ORF TV show trailer. Frank Hoffmann is also one of the most sought-after voices in the Austrian area. In addition to numerous commercials, he is the station voice of various radio stations. So he hosted from the 1970s for Ö3 the shipment La chanson. He also lent his voice several audio books, including Can not you sleep, Little Bear? made by Martin Waddell and Good, Little Bear, the placed on the hr2 audio book leaderboard. The audio books emerged as a cooperation of the publisher JUMBO Hamburg with the ORF.

Frank Hoffmann is director of Güssing cultural summer.

He was of German President Rudolf Kirchschläger 1986 with the Cross of Honour for Science and Art of the Republic of Austria and of Governor Karl Stix 1999 with the Grand Decoration of the Land Burgenland awarded for staging exodus of Josef Reichl at Burg Güssing. Frank Hoffmann is an honorary member of the Cultural Association of Austrian Roma and Sinti.

In 2010, he was Ambassador of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour in the International Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. In 2011, he was Ambassador of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour in the International Year of Volunteers.

Since January 2013 he has been a film expert at the private TV channel Servus TV in the program Light Games - The film magazine operates.
