Frank Hoste

Frank Hoste ( born August 29, 1955 in Ghent ) is a former Belgian cyclist.

Frank Hoste was a professional racing car driver 1977 until 1991. His biggest success in these years was winning the green jersey in the Tour de France in 1984. Overall, he started eight times in the Tour and won five stages.

1982 Hoste was Belgian road champion. He won numerous victories, Gent- Wevelgem including 1982 and the Four days of Dunkirk, in 1984 the Grand Prix de Wallonie and the 1986 Grand Prix of the Canton of Aargau. He also won stages at the Giro d' Italia and the Tour de Suisse.

After his cycling career Hoste opened a bicycle shop. Today he works as a representative for foreign bicycle companies and has worked as a radio commentator.
