Frank Kozik

Frank Kozik (born 1962 in Madrid) is an American artist.

At 14, he emigrated to Austin, Texas in the United States. Originally designed Kozik posters for underground rock bands to well-known bands such as Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Beck and Soundgarden ( for which he even directed the film in a music video ). Because of his artistic fame he was soon engaged for advertising campaigns for Nike and Absolut vodka. Meanwhile Kozik is also a well known name in the designer toy scene.

Kozik mainly lives in San Francisco, where he produced his art and his own record label, Man's Ruin, was founded. His works can be found in well-known venues and art galleries such as the CBGB in New York and La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles. In Japan and Europe, his works have been exhibited.

Hallmark of many Kozik figures is a burning cigarette, which is then, however, like to also be modified. Kozik's most famous figures, the Smorkin ' Labbits - further work is Dr. Bomb, Smorkin ' Mongers and various works in Designer Toy series, such as Dunny, Qees and MAD * L and several more.
