Frank Lewis (broadcaster)

Frank Lewis, OPEI ( born 1939 in York, Prince Edward Iceland ) is a Canadian radio manager. Since 2011 he is the incumbent Vice Governor of the Province of Prince Edward Iceland, and as such represents the head of state, Queen Elizabeth II, at the provincial level.

Biography

Lewis began in 1966 for the specialized country music radio station CFCY -FM to work in Charlottetown. He rose to become Vice President and General Manager of the radio station and was retired in 2004. After his retirement he worked for the media company Newcap Radio in Halifax as a consultant. On July 28, 2011, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced that Governor General David Johnston Lewis was appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Iceland.
