Frank Mancuso, Jr.

Frank Mancuso Jr. ( born October 9, 1958 in Buffalo, New York) is an American film producer.

Life

Mancuso was born the son of Frank Mancuso, Sr., who worked in leading positions at Paramount Pictures and MGM. Mancuso himself began his career in the film business at the beginning of the 1980s, first as producer of horror films. He produced several parts of the Friday the 13th film series, and occasionally some comedies like Wedding with obstacles (1983). At the end of the decade, he turned to the TV and was involved as executive producer on the series heirs of the curse (1987-1990) and the short-lived production of War of the Worlds. In the latter, he was responsible for the production of the second season, whose original title in War of the Worlds: The Second Invasion was converted.

In the coming decades, he remained true to the horror genre, but also produced action films as well as some science fiction movies, but they are quite interspersed with elements of horror.
