Frank Mills

Frank Mills (* June 27, 1942 in Montreal ) is a Canadian pianist who was best known for his composition Music Box Dancer.

Frank Mills studied from 1961 to 1965 composition at McGill University. From 1969 he was a member of the Canadian music group The Bells. As a solo performer Mills had after leaving the band in 1972, initially only little success.

Its by far the most important hit is the title Music Box Dancer which reached # 3 in the United States. It was also his only, who achieved a higher position as top 40 in the U.S.. The Sheet music composition were sold over three million copies. In Germany, he finished with the single twelfth place and stayed for 18 weeks in the charts. In Switzerland Music Box Dancer was five weeks at number one on the charts.
