Frank Ostholt

Frank Ostholt ( born September 23, 1975 in Warendorf, North Rhine -Westphalia ) is a German eventing rider.

Career

Osthold grew up on a farm yard, where he came in contact with the small horse farm with horses.

His career started in 1996 when he participated in the German Championships for Young Riders with 20 years for the first time. At this time Osthold celebrated his greatest successes with the mare Eos and Basilisk. In 2003, he secured himself with his horse Air Jordan victory at the German Championships in eventing. This triumph was Osthold 2005 repeat. In the meantime he had lost at the 2004 Olympics by a controversial decision team gold and dropped back to fourth place. Osthold is agricultural engineer, Pferdewirtschaftsmeister and head of the Federal DOKR performance center riding in Warendorf. In 2005 he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf through the then Federal President Horst Köhler.
